Log your first borehole on a tablet
Capture lithology, N-values, and photos in the field — even with no signal — and sync when you're back online.
Atlaned’s field app turns the back of a 4×4 into a real logging desk. This tutorial covers the full first-time setup.
1. Download the project for offline use
Open the project on your tablet and tap Download. The app caches templates, photos, and the geology library so the next twelve hours of fieldwork don’t need a single bar of signal.
2. Start a new log
Pick a template — USCS, BS 5930, or your own — and start logging layers. Each layer captures depth, description, N-value, and an optional photo.
3. Sync when back
The next time the app sees Wi-Fi, it pushes everything to the cloud and resolves any conflicts with edits made by other engineers.
